Lizzie May is a proud Wiradjuri woman, mother and grandmother from Nanima who grew up in Mt Druitt, with strong cultural connections to Redfern and Kempsey through her extended family. She is the Founding Director and a longstanding supporter of MAYCS and Justice Reinvestment, and currently serves as Chairperson of Link-Up NSW and Deerubbin Local Aboriginal Land Council. Lizzie is deeply committed to empowering young Aboriginal people to use their lived experiences to drive positive change within systems where systemic racism and discrimination persist. She is passionate about the impact MAYCS and Justice Reinvestment continue to have across Western Sydney, supporting families, services and government agencies through the leadership of Aboriginal young people.
