Kirsty Maylin is a Kokatha, Wirangu and Arrernte woman who lives in Cairns on Gimuy Walubarra Yidinji Country, and is the Director, Indigenous Operations, Policy and Support. She supports the development and implementation of the Indigenous Family Law Liaison Officer (IFLO) program and the Specialist Indigenous Lists, focusing on strengthening culturally appropriate, accessible and responsive justice processes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
Kirsty brings senior leadership experience from the Department of Defence, Science and Technology Group, where she held executive roles across external engagement and cyber capability. Prior to this, she spent over a decade working directly with Indigenous communities as a Program Manager for Indigenous Youth and as an Aboriginal Community Education Officer, designing holistic, community informed initiatives focused on early intervention, collaboration and improved service responses.
